The always insane, never dull Nicolas Cage is slated to star in a new comedy from Director Larry Charles (Borat, Seinfeld). The film will focus on an ordinary construction worker who decides to take the hunt for Osama Bin Laden into his own hands. The story is actually based on a story written by Chris Heath for GQ Magazine about real-life character Gary Faulkner, an eccentric man who believed he had been given a mission from God to capture one of the world’s most-wanted terrorists of all time.
The film will chronicle Gary Faulkner’s quest and his multiple attempts to sneak into both Afghanistan and Pakistan. The treatment was written by Scott Rothman and Rajiv Joseph, most recently having worked on the film Draft Day.
